promoting love for science among children

project initiated in 2023
2,871 children | 23 schools | 235 science models

In partnership with Agastya International Foundation, a mobile science laboratory featuring over 235 interactive models reaches schools across 14 villages, bringing science to life for students in grades six to 10. The initiative focuses on making learning engaging and experiential, especially for students in underserved rural communities, by moving beyond textbooks to hands-on exploration of scientific concepts.

Alongside model-based demonstrations, the program uses digital tools like tablets, structured lesson plans and creativity-driven teaching methods to strengthen understanding and sustain student interest. A conscious effort is also made to promote sustainability through the use of eco-friendly teaching materials and practices throughout the learning process.

An impact assessment was conducted using a pre-test and post-test quasi-experimental design to evaluate the effectiveness of the program in strengthening STEM learning through hands-on methods. The findings indicated significant improvement across key indicators, particularly in subject knowledge and conceptual understanding, while also demonstrating enhanced student engagement.

2025-26 highlights

  • imparted 392 science sessions
  • expanded digital learning through 316 sessions
  • strengthened community outreach, reaching over 1,300 individuals through 59 sessions
  • increased engagement through 6 winter and summer camps and 4 science fairs for 1,160 students
  • trained 35 teachers through a special workshop

Science is fun

‘Our science lessons have become more like our sports period, where learning science has become fun. The models and experiments are interesting, making it very easy for us to understand,’ shares Krish Rathod studying in grade 8 of Atak Pardi Primary School.
